On
Monday, 12 February 2007, the Africa Club at London Business
School hosted an event entitled: "Building Business Leadership
in Africa ". The event was held for the deans of 11 African
Business Schools on a visit to leading Business Schools. The
deans are members of the Association of African Business Schools
(see http://www.ifc.org/ifcext/bsn.nsf/Content/Association_of_African_Business_Schools
) , an IFC sponsored initiative to build business leadership
capacity in Africa . Our goals for the event are to promote
awareness of the business education opportunities in Africa
, facilitate network building between the Schools and the
Diaspora community and offer a platform to exchange ideas
for tackling the significant challenges faced by that segment
of the educational sector.
