How
can you help chart the way forward
for
the African continent?
By supporting a
Scholarship Fund for African students. In an increasingly
global world, high-quality management and leadership skills
are essential for individual, corporate and national success.
Such skills abound in developed nations, but lack critical
mass on the African continent.
London Business
School provides a broad-based management education that is
particularly beneficial for Africa. The school produces
graduates with the technical know-how required to be a successful
manager and the ability to enhance company performance, it
also deals with issues such as Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, and other
areas that business people contend with in Africa.
This Scholarship
for African Students will provide those who can only dream of attending London Business School, the opportunity to study
here and experience being part of one of the most global business
schools in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.
Why do we
need a scholarship?
· Only 1.5% of the MBA 2007 class come from Africa.
We want to increase this percentage.
· London is one of the most expensive cities in the
world in which to live and study.
·
London Business School has only 1 scholarship to assist
African MBA students and we are seeking to increase this number.
Through scholarships, we'll be able to attract more African
students to our School.
Who will
the scholarship help?
The African Scholarship
Fund will provide scholarships every year to outstanding Africans
wishing to stud for an MBA, based on our standard criteria
of academic ability. We want to build exceptional business
leaders for Africa.
How will
the Scholarship have real impact?
The Scholarship
Fund is being set up as an endowment to ensure long-term impact.
The money will be invested so the Fund will continue in perpetuity
to benefit deserving African students.
